I’d like to show people that there are alternatives to the largely unsupported MKV container which places completely unnecessary restrictions on what device can playback the files (no Portable Media Player/PDA/PDA Phone/DVD Player/Network Streamer fully supports it) so it’s pretty much PC only
(Requires a splitter to be installed or an alternative media player).
In almost all cases (everything bar where DTS audio is needed M2TS  ) the MPEG container achieves the same thing while being universally supported on everything from DVD players to PDA Phones.
Nothing should get in the way of you sharing your downloaded files with your friends and family.
On to the idiot proof guide.
You will need MKVExtract+MkvToolNix (installer for both) and YAMB installed.
Code:
http://yamb.unite-video.com/Yamb-2.1.0.0_beta2_setup.exe
http://rapidshare.com/files/265253225/MKVExtractGUI-1.6.4.1.exe
(Ive fecked MKV Extract and MKVToolNix into a sfx installer if you don't want this here are the links to both packages extract them to the same folder
http://www.bunkus.org/videotools/mkvtoolnix/win32/mkvtoolnix-unicode-2.9.7.7z
http://www.videohelp.com/download/MKVExtractGUI-1.6.4.1Wizard-1.2.zip
Launch MKV Extract and select your MKV file, Select the audio and video stream and subtitles if required then extract.
Launch YAMB and select the first option, Add your source files and hit next
The whole process shouldn’t take longer than 30 seconds but it will depend on the size of your source files.
And were finished, Apart from the metadata yamb adds the files are identical and can be played back on pretty much any device (KISS 1600 Pictured)
