Default Microsoft unleashes new Windows

Quote:
Personal computers are about to get a makeover with the launch of the latest Windows operating system. Microsoft is hoping the successor to Vista will be more of a hit with users when it launches on 22 October. Many of the features take into account multimedia applications and the fact that users are beginning to store their data on the internet. In the UK some computer stores are due to open at midnight so keen PC users can get their hands on the software.

So the long wait is over. I hope they will be able to deliver what they promised. If Windows 7 is free from the glitches and bugs which Vista is having, I am going to install it in my laptop.

after working with 7 for about 3 months now I can only say its a relief compared to Vista and comes close to the experience of XP.

The reason's for choosing 7 right now tho are most likely DirectX 10 support and cool theme modifications

as for compatability with drivers and such, it's done better this time. all Vista problems of having to wait for drivers/compatability issues have been solved by vista. so 7 starts clean.

Wow.. that is great to hear. So so far you could not notice a single negative point? Sounds great to me. After the disappointment from their Vista, this will be a huge relief.

This should be in OS discussion somewhere, Ryan. Not in Internet Talk. I'll notify Ruddy to move the thread.

Hmm... seems that even before the official release, the OS was out as warez. How is this possible? Especially from a company like Microsoft, which normally do not allow any security lapse?
